Do I have to give a recorded statement to the insurance company in a Kentucky auto accident case?
After an accident has occurred, if the other side's insurance company approaches you for a recorded statement, you should not give a recorded statement. The insurance adjuster who approaches you does this on a regular basis and this is maybe the first time you've ever been in this situation, so you're at a disadvantage. You'll be asked questions that are phrased in a way that will be to your disadvantage. You need to hire an attorney who's experienced in handling these types of cases and let the attorney deal with the insurance adjuster, so that you don't have to.
