What are PIP benefits and what does it pay for?

PIP is a type of coverage under your own auto policy it stands for personal injury protection. The benefits that you can receive after an accident under your own polices PIP coverage is payment of your medical bills and payment of an amount towards your lost wages while you're off work. If the accident is determined not to be your fault and later on your own insurance company that has paid you these PIP benefits they'll collect them back from the insurance company for the at fault part.
