What are the limits on the ability to collect under an underinsured motorist provision in Kentucky?
Under-insured motorists coverage is coverage that you may purchase at the time you purchase your auto insurance policy. It's to provide for situations where someone who injures you does not have enough insurance to pay for the full extent of your damages. If that occurs you look to your own under-insured motorists coverage to make yourself whole, or to compensate you for the full amount of your injuries and damages. Now the amount of the under-insured motorists coverage that you can receive is determined by the amount that you purchased, when you purchased your auto policy.
