Can a family member bring a case if a person dies from burn injuries in Kentucky?

If a person dies from burn injuries in Kentucky, that person's estate is entitled to bring a a wrongful death action. In addition to that, if the persons suffer for even a short period of time before passing away, a survival action can be brought for that person's personal injuries before death. In addition to those claims, if the person had a surviving spouse or minor children at the time he or she passed away, the surviving spouse or minor children can potentially bring a claim for loss of consortium.
