Are there different types of brain injury?

Yes, there are different types of brain injury. Most of the time, we see the brain injury that results from an accident or some type of trauma to the head. The most recent case that we had involved a young man who fell off of a cliff in a church camp and significantly injured himself. We also see cases where there is a severe hypoxic event where there is a deprivation of oxygen to the brain that may result in significant brain damage to a minor child or an adult who may have suffered a heart attack or been without oxygen for a period of time.
