There are special rules that apply to commercial trucks in Kentucky. For instance, the Kentucky Legislature has adopted the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations that governs the operation of commercial motor vehicles on the public highways as well as the Kentucky Legislature has announced it's own public policy on trucks. In fact, the Kentucky Legislature has declared that it is the public policy of this commonwealth that trucks needlessly endanger the lives of the traveling motorist.
