How much time do I have after an 18-wheeler or semi-truck accident to file a lawsuit in Kentucky?
You have two years after the date of the accident, or two years after the last PIP payment was made. PIP is known as Personal Injury Protection, that is built-in insurance for your automobile policy. If the accident occurred on January 1st of 2015, and your last PIP payment was made on August 1st of 2015, you have until August 1st of 2017 to file your lawsuit.
